Welcome stranger, to Harthorn City. We have a little problem here, us dogs that is. The humans aren't too friendly. Stay away from the lab if you want to stay normal. The humans like to catch us and take us to the lab. If anyone comes out, they're never the same. Some have bloodlust, some are blind or deaf, a few say they have visions or can walk in your dreams. Heck, I've met a dog with toxic claws! Don't believe me? Go to the lab and we'll see if you come out. If you believe me and stay away, just be careful. Some humans don't mind us but there's not just humans to worry about. Morgs hate Demerons, Celes and Paladin are always clashing and sometimes it just ends in war. Why is this bad? Well, dogs die but the humans start to notice us. The last time two packs fought, fifty dogs were caught and never came back. If you see a human coming at you, just try our little trick: Lay down and play dead...or you might be dead.

Puppy Center After breeding, both parents must follow the form, one thread per pair. A site admin will then provide pup stats. Parents decide who gets to RP their pups and parents get their pick of the litter. Litters range from 1-6 depending on breeds and season. Moderator: ::Fox::
Abandoned Church Closed down long ago, the old church is on the outskirts of Harthorn and seldom visited by humans. A broken basement window provides an entrance for pack dogs while pews give them a place to lay when the rain causes water to back up into the church. Broken stained glass litters the floor and several pews are toppled over in fights, the alter scratched and broken.
Junkyard One man's trash is a dog's treasure. The old junkyard outside of town has become the hangout for a pack or rather vicious canines and humans make a point to avoid it. Dodging workers isn't hard and there are plenty of old cars to sleep in. Foraging is good and many times the pack will not venture outside of their chosen home.
Old Underground The underground station was shut off years ago due to structural damage and low maintenance funds. Since then, canines have taken refuge in the tunnels, keeping to themselves and living in the thick of human society despite the dangers. Living in the heart of the Harthorn, many believe these dogs to be mad or very dim but the darkness has proven a keen alley for these city-dwelling dogs.
Warehouses Down by the riverside, a shiping company has gone out of business, leaving several large warehouses unused. Old merchandise, crates and tarps remain and the structure is good providing a shadowy but decent home for night-dwelling canines. Several service doors have been broken open or hang akwardly on their hinges leaving plenty of room to get in but once inside, it is almost completely dark.
Kilco Labs A plain building on the outside, this is the place where Daemons are born. Captured as normal strays or bought from the pound, dogs come in here and very few come out. Men in white coats are sometimes seen moving in and out but few dogs come within miles of this place. Any Daemon that escapes will say the same thing, that Kilco Labs is hell on earth for any dog that gets caught. Moderator: ::Fox::
Harthorn City Pound In a sense, this is the first stop to the Kilco Labs. The pound is where strays are taken for three days and, if unclaimed, they are shipped to the labs. Deals with the labs are kept under wraps so humans that may be opposed to animal experimentation don't find out. Some dogs such as the lame, blind, deaf, pregnant or ill are not sent to the lab but, instead put down. There have been some great escapes from this place but also some tragic ends. Harthorn Center In the heart of Harthorn Center, a shopping center surrounds a large fountain. Humans come here very often to do a bit of shopping which means dogs tread with caution though usually go unnoticed. The fountain in the heart of the square is set as the center of an eight-point compass. Often friendly canines will try to mooch or steal food from humans that have their lunch at benches in the square or on the lip of the fountain. Moderator: ::Fox::
Coalman's Diner An old couple runs Coalman's Diner and are known for being kind to strays unlike many in Harthorn. Dumpster diving here usually proves fruitful with plenty of scraps and sometimes even scraps simply left out separate from the other garbage. Many strays come here first when searching for a meal. Moderator: ::Fox::
EZ Street Cleaners This small laundry mat has been out of business for nearly six months and has become rapidly popular among the strays as a safe place to spend the night. The back door in the alley is broken so, strays can gain easy access into the abandoned shop. Old dryers and washers are just about the only things left in the shop but the sturdy walls and occasional piece of forgotten cloth can be used to make a safe place to sleep. Occasionally, pregnant mothers with nowhere else to go will bear a litter here and can become quite defensive of the place or are easy prey for stronger, more violent strays. Moderator: ::Fox::
Harthorn Cemetary A quiet, secluded place, the Harthorn Cemetary is a good place to go when you need to think. Because the humans here are often distracted and grieving, strays can usually wander here without too much fear of being caught and sometimes even get a kind word from a sorrowful human. At night however, many dogs come here to fight making it a weary place when the sun goes down. Moderator: ::Fox::
Harthorn Park A large, roomy park, both humans and dogs love this place on a nice afternoon. In the heart of the park there is a large pond where ducks can be found and many times strays can wander here without being bothered by a human. In the tree groves a lucky canine may find a rabbit or catch a bird fat on bread crumbs. Here, all packs mingle but fighting is not advised with the pound only a phone call away. Moderator: ::Fox::
Construction Site In the more decrepit part of Harthorn, an apartment building was being built when the project lost funding due to hard times in the middle of construction. The basement and first floor of the building is more or less complete but, there are four floors that are incomplete. Studs, metal supports and plastic sheeting are all that remain on sight as well as piping strewn around that had been abandoned with the project. While strays may find a safe place to spend the night, there are also unstable parts of the floors that may give out under weight and teen humans tend to sneak out to the site at night. Abandoned Apartments (1 sub-board) In the poorer part of Harthorn, one of the many apartment buildings has been abandoned for years. Doors hang off hinges, windows are broken and boarded, heavy layers of dust on everything. A few possessions from humans are left such as musty mattresses and old blankets but, the building is in decent enough condition for strays. Often though, strays battle for space against homeless people and it has been known for floorboards or steps to give out, sending a dog to an untimely death or at least on a painful tumble. Kinger River Outside of town flowing north to south is the Kinger River. The river runs just outside of the city and was once used by a shipping company to get to their warehouses. The warehouses are now used by the Morgs as a hangout but, humans and dogs will still come down to the river from time to time to explore and enjoy the water. Moderator: ::Fox::

McClain Farm (1 sub-board) Long since abandoned, this large farm was once owned by one of the best known families in Harthorn. Of course, financial troubles drove them out and the land fell into disrepair. The fields are empty, barn decaying and farmhouse falling apart. The old stables have long since become the nests for mice, owls and birds roosting in the barn. Many dogs come here for shelter in the barn or house as well as to hunt in the overgrown fields. Moderator: ::Fox::
Penton Lake Several miles from Harthorn, there is a large lake surrounded by woodland. A small lake house sits on the southern bank but is abandoned most of the year. Dogs and humans tend to frequent this place either for relaxation, hunting or privacy. Twinfish Creek feeds the lake from the north and gets quite deep in the middle. Many water dogs and hounds come here to hunt and swim. More energetic and courageous dogs will explore the boulder piles on the western shore but caution there is advised. Moderator: ::Fox::
Fen Forest The forest has gone silent since the forest fire. No one is sure who started it or how but, the trees are leafless and much of the prey has died. Any strays caught in the blaze were lucky to escape and there is a constant gloom hanging over the burnt out forest now. Not many have returned or dared to explore yet. Moderator: ::Fox::
Crescent Ridge Crescent Ridge is a small cluster of woodland southeast of Harthorn. It is a protected hunting reservation and is often used by gang dogs to provide for the packs. While it's good for rabbits, squirrels and other small game, wolves are sometimes drawn here during the winter to hunt for deer when the national park is low on big game. This means There is a potential danger for city dogs to come into contact with not only an armed human hunter but also a very hungry wolf during the barren months. Moderator: ::Fox::
Greystone National Park North of Harthorn, protected forests blanket the Greystone Mountains. The range itself is relatively low mountains, deep valleys and dense pine forests. Deer and other mountain game are abundant here but no dogs dare tread here. This is true wilderness, ruled by the wolves and tended by the grazers and bears. Humans and dogs that try to hunt here often find their hunts rather...unsuccessful.
