Its almost like she didn't know him. Yet she knew him well. Pan was so confused. She hurt all over. But waited for his answer1without a flinch. His cage was larger than hers, why? That didn't make sense, why would they stick him in a bigger cage than her? She shrugged it off, humans were strange in those ways. The clock ticked and that was all she could hear, apart from the breathing, and a few whines from the other dogs. They were all trapped. She gave herself a minute to glance around at all the others. Sorrow filled her. This was a sad place, no wonder, but she still felt the urge to get all of them out. How would they do it? How could they possibly do it? She wanted to ask, but Doubt began to answer her first question.
Telekinesis, heightened senses, and bat wings? That was a heavy load. Pan was about to question the wings, because she saw no such thing. She didn't need to because they popped right out of his sides. Massive bat wings, it made her jump a little. She wasn't scared, just a little surprised at the sudden movement. His wings were black, and leathery, hers were the exact opposite. They seemed to be opposite each other on the outside all over. Black, and white. But that didn't make they so far apart from each other on the inside. They were quite similar actually. In many ways. She looked at him softly before he spoke again.
The escape. She did have a few idea she didn't think any would for sure work, but they were ideas. "We have to do it at a certain time, when a young man comes to feed us and change our water. We have to distract him, take his keys so he cant lock the gate, and BAM, were out. Well, in the hall at least." She sighed, they needed to know the way around the halls to get out. Both of them had been out cold on the journey here. She thought hard. She turned away from Doubt to study the perimeter. Her eyes lay on the stack of empty shiny metal bowls near the counter the humans used to get them water. she could see the reflection of the whole room in those bowls. She kept looking at them thinking. When Doubt asked his second question. She couldn't answer over Kaz.
"Well this will help. Lets stare at a bunch of random bowls, maybe a plan will come to us" Kaz jeered. She tried to ignore it, but he kept going. "Bowls bring the answer to all, we are DOOMED if this is what you think a plan is." Pan growled and her eyes flickered but didn't leave the bowls. Anger rose in her, and the bowls began to shake. "God, why did i get stuck in someone so dim witted, doesn't even know how st escape a stupid human facility" The anger washed over her in a wave, and her vision was hazy. In that instant she yelled "SHUT UP!" the pile of bowls went flying. They scattered across the floor and made horribly loud noises. She stood straight, shocked. Kaz shut up, and stared in shock as well.
Looks like Pandora is More powerful than she realized. With that, it makes three powers. Wings, Visions, and Telekinesis. She turned back to Doubt, all emotions erased off her face. She knew one of the humans would come in and have to clean all this up, and they wouldn't be to happy about it. "Looks like Ive got myself, wings, visions and telekinesis" She nodded toward the bowls. She knew it would be a surprise to anyone who just found out they had a new power, but at the moment Pan couldn't be surprised, somehow she knew all along. Just like she knew Doubt had the bat wings.
doubt spoke up again, about getting out, and making history. The thought of it made her feel better, but inside, she knew it not possible. One piece? Maybe one mangled piece. But Pan was being doubtful, and Doubt was being optimistic. Doubt was feeling something Else, something he couldn't or didn't want to describe. She didn't quite understand. Surreal? What was he talking about. what was it, Pan needed to know. "What do you mean? How so?" she was so curious, she wanted to burst through these bars and go to him. She settled with leaning up against the bars that connected there cages. She sighed. How were they going to pull this off?
She noticed that someone finally came in to pick up the mess of bowls. It was a young man. Blond hair, white jacket, black pants. She looked at him, no emotions on her face, and then it clicked. That was the one, that human was the one. He had to be the one to open the gates, he was the one they would escape from. But she knew it was not yet. She whispered over to Doubt. "Hes the guy that has to open the gates." He cleaned up the bowls, and put them all back into a pile. The guy didn't look like he belonged here, he was younger than any of the humans she had seen in this place. And he looked like he wanted to leave just as much as she did. Which was strange all in itself.
She glanced at Doubt as he retracted his wings again and again, testing something. She stare off into the clock, not at it, but into it. Pictures flashed again, but they didn't make a bit of sense to her, they were worse than last time. Just random images, of what may come, or something. Kaz was a bit happier now that he knew they had a good power. Telekinesis was strong, and Pan would have to learn how to control it. Doubt would to, maybe that was something they would do together, if they get out of here, sorry WHEN they get out of here.
Time would come slow when they knew what they were waiting for. Pan dreaded what was to come. The man who cleaned up the bowls left, and Doubt was thinking about something in a whorls all his own. She didn't want to interrupt him, in case it was something important. Pan thought about her powers, maybe she could practice right now. She glanced over at her food bowl. There were bits of stray kibble on the ground. She focused hard on them, tiring to bring them to her. That failed, so she tried just moving them in general. Fail. Kaz sighed in her head. "Your to weak to handle this power" He taunted, she growled as she tried to move the kibble, it seemed to shake a little. Kaz whined again, and complained that she was weak and stupid. It made her a little upset. With that emotion flowing through her she seemed to be able to move the kibble to the side. She understood, it took strong emotions to move things, but where was she to get those? She laughed to herself quietly. This is not going to end well, she thought.

Ah, that young man could make this work out well, Doubt tried to recall where he had the keys. Of course, on the belt, and if he used his telekinesis...but he had little control over that power. Well, last time he used it, which seemed like years to him now, it was so fine and professional he was sure he wasn’t doing it. But there was no one else in the room, the dog doing it would have to be invisible...invisible dog?! That wasn’t good, he could be watching right now, lurking and smiling. If he was a daemon, this invisible dog, it did make sense. He could flicker out of sight. Or maybe he was a ghost. All those were creepy to him, and all those were wrong. He nodded, sitting down and having his wings back in his body. Doubt started to muse even more about the undetectable dog. The yell surprised him, but because his right ear was facing Pandora’s cage it sounded like a very faint and emotional whisper. He whipped his head around, and then whipped his head again at the bowls that flew around. Doubt turned to look at Pandora, tipping his left ear towards her as she answered his last question.
“Formidable bunch, seeing the future, being able to fly, and moving things with your mind.” He pondered. If she could see what was to come, as Doubt had suspected before, that was helpful. With Doubt’s enhanced senses, which he wasn’t entirely sure of yet, he could hear things from a distance and things that couldn’t be heard to normal ears. Even if he was almost half death, his hearing was utmost keen because he worked on it more because he needed the extra hearing. His sense of smell seemed normal, just above it, and Doubt would work on that. His strength was obviously heightened, he wasn’t quite sure about anything else – oh, and his eyes were heightened. He could see little extra details every time he focused on using it. Pandora seemed like she knew her powers all along and some of Doubt’s, and that was not surprising one bit. It must’ve been some visions-instinct that comes with such power. He laughed, he was so confident he was going to get out of here with Pandora and a whole lot of other dogs that he could taste it. Although, Pandora didn’t seem that way, the one who could see the future. Doubt started and tried not to worry about that, visions have not been reported to show more than fragments. Illegible fragments at times, but how did he know that? Did he meet a dog with visions before? Blue eyes again, and his head started to hurt. His memory was more than fuzzy from his days in the lab, maybe even months.
It seemed surreal. And that was why he knew the answer to Pandora’s question quickly. “Dreamlike, like it’s a game and it’s all written down, in the script.” He replied, turning his head towards the bowls. He didn’t quite hear Pandora’s whisper, but had a feeling by the expression on her face that this boy was the one. The key to getting out of this hell, actually, the keys to getting out of this hell. Doubt watched him carefully, and looked at the keys on the belt, shining in the light, the worried and angry man worked quickly. The keys looked so beautiful that it was starting to get ridiculous and Doubt was starting to feel feminine. But they were the escape with them and at the moment, anything that would help him and Pandora escape was beautiful. Other dogs too. Doubt wanted to get those keys, but felt desperately weak...and something clicked in his mind at that. He zoomed out for a few seconds, and when his vision came back, the shining keys on the man was no longer on the man. And the man walked out. Doubt looked at Pandora whom was now playing with the kibble. “Did you steal the man’s keys?” He asked. It didn’t seem like she heard as she a little angrily and a little upset, threw the kibble across the floor of the cage. Extreme emotions were the trigger for her powers, but what about Doubt?
“You okay, Pandora?” He asked, Doubt turned around so his left ear was facing her. Doubt was now facing the wall, and as he moved something metallic and somewhat-heated, yet cold still touched his paws and went flying. The keys. How did they get in here? Doubt glanced at Pan, a little shocked, and then smiled. “Now, looks like this might be a good start.” How did the man get out, through, did he slip them through just as the man walked off and turned the lock, closing the door? That seemed impossible somehow. Looking back at the door, he noticed that it was still open. But he was sure the man walked out? Odd, strange, and as he looked closer, he seen fingers halfway through the door. Blinking wildly, and looking at all the other dogs around the room, he shuddered. The invisible dog must’ve got them, picked them up and brought it to Doubt’s cage as Doubt zoned out. A little bit of panic and fear stringed through him. “This, this is not good.” He muttered worriedly and very quietly that only to his ears could hear.
Maybe he didn’t have telekinesis at all, maybe it was a lie and he only thought that. But in a way, that wasn’t seeming right. All this was too similar. Doubt was doubtful, and that was common. He had pondered if his whole life was a lie, he had pondered more than that. Doubt was a truth seeker, and that’s why he had named himself the middle of truth and a lie, doubt. First, there’s always doubt, and then realization, and then the truth of a lie or the truth of a truth. What was this? Something pulled at him, but something pulled back, trying not to get him to remember. He should be thinking about this when they escape. And that seemed soon. The dogs in the other cages were watching and whispering and saying something. Looking back at Pandora, knowing that his knowing of being able to escape was right all along, it was just about the timing now. A human would discover the boy, hopefully he wasn’t dead. ‘He’s not dead’, said a voice, ‘that’s why you better damn hurry before it’s too late.’ It was clam, and sounded so much like his own voice yet the persona was different. It was recognizable, but he didn’t think about it, he now wanted to getaway. Looking at Pandora, and said in a low voice, “We better hurry.” Now, that was the reality, not a doubt or lie, and that indeed was an understandable truth. There was a sinking feeling about this. He didn’t want to drown, and he didn’t want the other dogs to as well. They needed help, they needed to work together. These skills were to be tested. Now. Not later. Not an hour from now. Now, right now. Maybe Pandora could open the cages, fear would make her power work?

The Invisible dog was not quite happy, it was not that this situation was not as good and that it could be destroyed by one helpless move. No, he was sure Doubt and all those dogs could get out of there, at least Doubt and him would get out unscratched. Doubt didn’t know, but ID was sure they had some healing power, and that was quite fascinating. The way the fabric of those wings knitted together and then broke apart, knitted together to ensure easy flight. Now, if they did that more he was sure it would become much faster. He was happy with this telekinesis, even through he and Doubt had to work together to do it. It made it more of a challenge, and he liked challenges. There was few things that would make the Invisible dog get into a bad mood, it’s unheard of until now.
He was not in a good mood because he was starting to doubt himself. That was never good. He was always so sure, and yet he felt something was crippling that slowly. He knew he was a twisted serial killer yes, but the growing strength of Doubt’s emotions were driving him into confusion. It made him have thoughts that weren’t his own, it was starting to make him care. Care, that word without ‘don’t’ is never a good sign for ID. He wasn’t worried, but he was cautious, and it was getting cloudy in his small section of mind. Driving him off the course of what his quest was, and making him, as stated before, doubt himself. That wasn’t him, that wasn’t quite like Doubt either. They both were professionals at remaining reserved in the trickiest situation. Yet, they both were being pulled to show the doubt unintentionally, days ago Doubt would be clam. Doubt had changed, and that really wasn’t ID’s doing. Amazing dogs were out there, ID knew, those who amazed him, and yet he knew how they ticked. See, Invisible dog was always quite a complicated serial killer. Mainly, you don’t see him coming because he seems so open and nice, usually when he’s in a good mood, and will say casually how he’s a serial killer. It’s easy to think he’s not one at all, not one that will lie to you and manipulate you.
And he wasn’t in a good mood because he was starting to feel like a good guy. It was ironic, and he got a good laugh out of it, but it itched at his mind tucked inside Doubt’s. He could easily be a good guy, he could easily save someone, but he couldn’t ever feel the way he was sure Doubt would feel. Incapable of those soft feelings, he had ever assured himself. But he was starting to doubt. Starting to pathetically doubt his own ways, and started to long to be Doubt for a sort while, to feel what he feels. It was weak, he figured, and it was odd, he was starting to like Doubt. He was starting to hope for Doubt, and that made Doubt so confident that it was nearly smug. He was confused, and figured it’d go away when he was in full control. Pandora was interesting, ID wanted to stick around her and learn her more. Learn about Kaz, whom seemed temperamental and insane, perfect type of pawn. He was sure that Kaz would like ID, possibly. It was strange, he knew what it was, but there’s a difference between knowing and knowing how to use it to an advantage. And this time, oddly, he didn’t have a solid answer. He wanted this body, and when he did get it, he was sure he’d be himself. He would have fun destroying the Demerons. Of course that was a part of his plan. Get rid of some of the highest risks first. Excited he was.
This was an interesting crossroad for him, that’s another way he looked towards it. See how Doubt was a strong existence without him even knowing it, when the invisible dog had to work to this point very had. ID had to become very mentally strong, pushing himself, and Doubt didn’t have to do that. Doubt was freer than ID, Doubt had other emotions that prepared mindset easily stronger. He would miss that. He would really miss Doubt, and felt like Doubt might never go away. Just maybe Doubt could be tucked in ID’s mind, and maybe they could talk. ID might know Doubt inside and out, but there’s a difference between actually having a conversation with someone then how ID had it. Him and Doubt loved talking to others, and hung around interesting dogs more than the usual. Of course, differing tastes there, but similar. ID had always known Doubt and him were very much alike, yet different in ways that made it hard to really relate with both in a way. Doubt made mistakes more than ID ever has, and Doubt had learned from that while ID already knew. Having a knowledge of so much gets boring, but there’s always something you don’t know out there, and that is why ID – and Doubt as well – chased that dream. Knowledge of everything is impossible, but knowing a load bit of lot is possible.
Which brought him back to that dog named Athena, named after the goddess of wisdom and does indeed rivals that. Yet, she didn’t know everything and that made him smile. She probably didn’t like the fact and that was probably why she always looked for more. She didn’t quite show it, but her search in the one was more of looking for one dog. It was a search for self as well. ID was ready to help her, because if she was in his debt that would be just awesome. It would work well too, the odds are that she’s climbing up the ranks in that Demeron pack right now. Climb, climb, and climb. And Doubt was right, the daemon pack was far from the problem. He could easily agree with Doubt on that. ID would make the world a better place when most of that pack is shattered. Odd, things bad are equally good in the long term. He was comfortable with that, after all he had a quest for superiorly. The other packs would probably grow peaceful, but vulnerable possibly, the Morgs would not have quite the same risk and would become restless. Maybe they would go daemon hunting routinely, and start looking towards the two other packs with daemons in them. It would slide in. One thing can change everything, and he would change something. ID was always sure of it, cause some chaos, and cause some cowering, ID would be fine with that. A month ago he wouldn’t, but now he would be fine with it. Of course, it is unlikely he would cause just that.
Coming to reflect on it, that little dream he whipped up as a test of his power over Doubt was seeming stupider and stupider. But it was what he predicted to occur, while throwing some sugar-coats on it to scare Doubt. And look, is it happening now, or what? He made Doubt forget because that was a test also, and it was so straightforward and easy. To say, he would miss Doubt, as stated before, he would. He was sure Doubt wasn’t going to go easy, and that made things sound much more enjoyable. He had of course done a few other experiments as well, less obvious and sugar-coated, but it still worked. When he saw the blonde man, and felt Doubt feeling desperate, he helped. He had slipped the keys away, and when the man was above to exit and noticed that the keys were gone. ID had knocked the man out, and it was hard not to kill the man, he would’ve if it wasn’t for Pandora. ID felt like he should keep Doubt’s image intact in sake of that and in sake of Doubt.
It was hard, all this fancy telekinesis stuff, it always left him confused and out for a sort while. He pushed himself too far, and he usually faded away after use of telekinesis a bit. Soon he would have good practice using this power. Soon enough. He was sure he could ace it easily with his mental power, but it might be harder if he makes Doubt go away forever. ID had been in between the choice of letting Doubt stay and then just getting rid of Doubt, he didn’t know he had no choice in the matter. He didn’t know that Doubt would still remain and bicker in his mind no matter what ID did. This was the part where his judgement was clouded. And he would decide to get rid of Doubt, to just find out that it’s impossible.
He felt Doubt was feeling, and as he started to fade out, he whispered in his mind calmly, but his choice of words was bitter – at least in ID’s opinion. “He’s not dead, that’s why you better damn hurry before it’s too late.” Parting words weren’t always ID’s strong point, and he laughed silently about it as he went to ‘sleep’ as he called it. Pondering about what ID should call himself, besides The Invisible Dog, would come later. When not so focused on plans and getting out. Right now, he was nonexistent.

Slavery, inhumanity they claim, even through the labs were trying to help it corrupted animals and made them loose who they were. They claim that in attempts of help, the Kilco labs had made the situation worse. They claim accounts of torture, of pain, and of murder. They claim that the lab people were selfish, doing this because they might be just developing weapons for the military. The thing is, no one can be quite sure of the lab’s intentions anymore, and very few do know about it. It started as an attempt to help and ended up causing a bit load of chaos. The labs try to get more funding so that they could get trackers on the dogs, creasing to tell how many really have escaped over the years. It usually doesn’t work out too well, and that’s why it’s been so long since they could get at the point where they could do what they could do. In these events, they had to go underground, continue unnoticed.
But no, some noticed, some former workers have informed activists knowing the risks of what could happen to themselves. Most of the workers join the labs with nothing to live for and leave with even less, so quitting the job was indeed not unheard of. Some kept working, and videotaped inside and gave it to sources. Corruption has far reaches, and so does brutality, the labs had came to extreme measures to keep them in line. But no matter what, things just keep being thrown at, managing with this is quite big and some put most their energy in such. The labs are a very secretive workforce. But the activists leak in usually, a plague that is in many but at times very easy to manage with for the labs. At this moment, right now, a riot has formed around the labs, a riot of fifty people in black suits holding signs and video tapes. The labs are busy with these rioters on this day, and human security is focused on the outside, not on the inside at the moment, It’s hard when one has budget cuts, even if it’s hard to notice on how far they’ve gone.
The thing is, what are they aiming for exactly, making strays better living? Or has it gone beyond that with all this insanity? Is the secrecy because of something huge, is the extreme measures because of something shrouded in mystery? No one expect the leaders know, and no one really gets to meet the leaders and question. It is possible that no one would ever find out, at least no human.
This day and time is the right day indeed to escape for dogs. And that, indeed, is about to happen.

Her slum thoughts just lingered around her, dragging her down. In her head, her own little coroner or her mind, where Kaz didn't dare go. She thought to herself, please excuse me, I'm not thinking clear, i feel like what has come over me, I'm about to loose my mind. Her thoughts were jumbled, and she had a headache that, for once was not from Kaz. She just hurt, inside and out. She tried to figure herself out, but she came up with blank spots in her life. Why?
A once un loved pup, forgotten by the world, banished, an outcast. Nothing has changed. She is still alone. Of coarse there was Doubt, and she did have feelings for the brute, but he would never feel the same toward her. She knew, she just didn't want to admit it. She just wanted to go home, but she didn't have one, she has no place to go, no one to love, She tried to stop the tears before they came, but all she could do was lay there, broken inside. Kaz didn't bother her, he knew she had been through enough. She turn away from Doubt, she didn't want him to see her so far gone.
She has no place to go. She hid her feelings, dreamless. Shes loosing her mind, she has fallen behind. She cant find her place, shes loosing her faith. Shes fallen from grace. Pan may look like an angel, fallen from heaven now, but she is only an experiment. Shes lost inside. And out. How can there be a happy ending. What is wrong with her?She stiffened up, and dried her tears. Doubt began to speak. Kaz didn't want to interrupt, her sadness was his. But how he hated to be depressed. He tried to talk to her, to bring her out of this low slump. But she wasn't listening, his attitude would get them both no where, and they would have to work together to get out. Kaz looked took it upon himself to be shown. He sat in the corner, black, shodowlike.
"And they would be much appreciated, if i could actually use them." She had an angry edge in her voice. They were loosing her. She is her own worst enemy, and is loosing the battle between herself. Not knowing what to do bothered her. She lay down still, pondering and playing with the kibble. Doubts voice chimed in again. "Keys?" She asked, Did he mean the mans keys? How would she have done that. "No?" it was answered as a question. Kaz hadn't moved, he just sat, looking at the two other dogs. He sensed something about Doubt, that maybe Pandora could not feel, or maybe didn't want to fell. Something he himself knew well, something almost evil. He didn't want to say it, so he stared at the piece of kibble Pan had grown distracted off. She looked at him, and watched him carefully for a moment. A sleek smiled crawled up his features, and there was a flicker in his eyes. The kibble, not a paws length away from Pan rose up in the air. Her mouth fell open. He could control it. Well if he was a part of her mind, a part she couldn't control, and so was the telekinesis, he would be able to control it. Until she learned to master it, it was his power. He seemed to like that. An contently went back into Pans mind, without a single word.
She was struggling, her emotions getting the best of her, Kaz had something she didn't, and Doubt could see right through her. She was breaking, falling so hard, even Kaz could see that. "I'll live," she said, not wanting to look in his deep eyes. Some strange sound made her ears twitch, and she sat up and turned to face Doubt. He had the keys? "But didnt..... ?" she tilted her head confused. How in the world did they get in there? From his earlier question, he didn't know either. Pan looked at him quizzical, and followed his gaze to the door. What was going on? Doubt seemed to realize, and by his expression it wasn't good.
He was right, we should hurry. But not yet. It wasn't right. Something was off. She looked at the clock. "Wait" She said. And she sad down, not doing anything at all. She looked down the other end of the hall, for some un known reason. There was a viewing window there. She watched it intensely, and could feel Doubt getting anxious. She just needed a few more seconds. She glanced back at the clock. Then again at the window. Right then, to her own surprise, a man walked passed. He was in a white coat, and was rushing, but stopped and paused for just a moment to look down the row of kennels. He checked something off of his list on a clip bored, and rushed away. Pan glanced at the clock one last time. Perfect. She turned to Doubt. "Lets move."
She wanted to get out of here so bad, but they had promised to get out with others. It was only right. They had to get the others out. But how. She wanted to ask Doubt, she really did, but somehow, she felt he didn't have the answer. Something inside her told her that. She would have to think of it. They could simply unlock all the latches with the key, but how would a pack of them get out all together, in one piece? "Unlock the cages" she urged him. She needed some room to think. Her back ached from her wings being so cramped. She looked at all the dogs around her. Most had wings, maybe the ones without were merely hiding them beneath the skin, as Doubt was. Maybe this was the 'Hall of Angels' or so they called it. Pan had seen this place, she just couldn't remember where. She shrugged off the strange thought and looked at Doubt. They would be getting out soon. OOC// Sorry its kinda a shitty post and that it took so long

Oh yes, Pandora sure was a gal whom knew what she was doing. Sitting there, worried, and all this pressure was biting at him slowly. Now, he had to do that trick again? There was something empty in him now that was making him increasingly uncomfortably, but what it was, he wasn’t the surest. Looking around, cautious, and trying his best to focus, yet things kept fading to blurriness. Maybe he was trying too hard, he nodded at Pandora’s command and focused on the keys. The right side of his head started to feel like it was being dragged and pulled, and he had the odd sensation of being vividly cussed at. It threw him off and he forgot what he done, frustrated he tried again and ignored the swearing feeling. The Invisible Dog was probably laughing at him...sitting in the corner. Don’t be self-conscious! He told himself and focused again. They moved, he would show ID was going to get in trouble, he was sure, Doubt was, that he could beat that dog. Could take him down, eventually, but revenge was not now. Focusing carefully and gingerly, they slipped through the bars, and then suddenly they dropped. He glanced around sheepishly, at the dogs looking at him. No one, please, give us away to humans, please. Then, he heard a voice from beside, voices from other cages telling him to do it. Now, that was support, damn it.
He closed his eyes, and imagined them raise, and lift into his lock, turn, and with a click, make the cage open. Doubt did just that, and he pushed through the door, with the keys in tow, and went to Pandora’s cage and did the same thing. He went to other cages, and other cages, and by instinct opened them and didn’t stop. That’s all he focused on, it was peace and he wanted to keep doing it. Save dogs, and Doubt felt more right than he ever had this way. Busy at work, he didn’t quite notice the alarms starting to go off, and yet when he noticed he wouldn’t know it was the outside alarm. Screaming started to happen. He opened his eyes wide, and seen flashing red. He saw a mess of dogs and some still sitting in the cages, bewildered. “Pandora?” He called, and again. He retracted his large wings, and tried to keep dogs from running into him. He called again, louder this time. He began to worry, they would make this out together, correct? He said that. And he was sure that would be true.

Doubt reacted quickly to her order. He made the keys slip through the bars. They fell on the floor with a 'clink'. All was silent for a minute, and then, the whispers began. All the dogs in the row of cages urged Doubt on. So he got the keys back up, and unlocked his cage. He went to Pandora's first, focusing on the keys. Pan looked at him, really looked at him, and she saw more than just a handsome dog. She saw a friend, one that was saving her life this very moment. She would have top repay him, someday. But would she get the chance?
Her cage door clicked open, and she slowly slipped out the door. The first thing she did was stretched out her aching wings. They were huge. Pan was a big dog, and her wingspan was twice the length of her. The tips of her feathers touched the cage doors on either side of her. It felt so good to stretch, these new found wings were going to be a hassle, she could tell. She let the relax a little, not quite folding them down all the way, just letting them hang loose. She looked at Doubt, who was working his way down the row of cages, unlocking each. There were a few dogs jumping out and making a run for it. And there were a few who just sat there, confused.
An alarm broke through the hushed air, red lights above every door flashed over and over. Kaz was annoyed at the sound, and the flashing. Pan was standing in the hall still, she had not move, she was waiting for Doubt, but the alarm scared all the dogs, and there was only chaos around her. She couldn't find him. She was about to step forward, when a vision knocked her breathless. Outside, she could see outside, for the first time in what seemed like forever. Humans filled a parking lot. Shouting screaming, holding signs. The building the were gathered around, it was so familiar. The signs they held, sent a message. 'Let them free' 'no more mutant pets' 'animal cruelty' Pan could read them all, and she understood. The building was here, she was in it, this very minute
She could see again. More chaos, but it was flowing out the door now. Barks and yips of hurried escaping dogs. She was still in the room. She needed to get out, she couldn't find Doubt anywhere. Did he already leave? She hoped so. She didn't hear him call her name. Kaz was still bickering about the stupid flashing light. She looked up at it. Flash, flash, BAM, The light exploded. She tilted her head, what was that? Kaz relaxed a little. The flashing was gone, but the alarm still rang. No one seemed to be coming in here though, shouldn't they have gotten here by now?
Pan realized, yet again, that she was still standing here. She went to go for the far door, but it was jammed with dogs. she turned around, and spotted another door, on the other end. She took her chances and went for it. Be for she reached it, a sound caught her ears. A muffled growl? She looked to her right, in the cage the sound came from. In that cage, sat a very tired, very old looking dog. He was medium sized and brownish grey in color, with an almost all white muzzle. He looked quite confused, but Pan saw his blank eyes and understood why. He was blind.
She sighed, and walked over to his cage, he turned and looked at her, no, looked into her, he saw her, for what she really was, and he tilted his head. As if he didn't understand. "Come on, everyone is getting out of here, we are going to be free." She urged him. He just looked at her, still confused. "My dear, your troubled by a demon. Your beautiful soul is contaminated, being .... eaten..." His voice was gruff, and sounded tired. Pan looked at him, how did he know? He must see auras, she thought. Kaz smirked, he liked the thought of being a demon. She shook her head, and urged him on again. He got up, and walked, quite slowly, next to her, to the far door. It was locked. She sighed. The old dog just made a tisk sound at her, and stared, well, what looked like stared at the lock. A few clicks, and the door swung open.
Pan looked at him in confusion, if he could do that, why didn't he get out sooner? She shrugged and walked out with him. The door lead to a hallway, and the hall lead to another hall. There was a door on there left that caught Pan's attention. She looked at it for a moment. It did not have a title, but she knew she had to get in there. "Young Pandora, this is your destiny, I have seen it. Enter there, and set them free. I will get out and be free aswel. You are an angel Miss Pandora. Sent straight from the dog goddess Tarja. You must trust your instincts, and escape with your dear friend. But beware Pandora, this black shadow demon is more powerful than you could ever imagine, and Your dear friend the one with two minds, he is in danger as well. Watch out for him. Trouble follows him." And with that, he gave her a smile. And disappeared. Literally, like into thin air. Pan stood there mouth open for a minute. Did she just hallucinate all that? She looked down the hall where a movement caught her eyes. No, because there was the old blind dog. One second here beside her the next all the way on the other side of the hall, right before the corner. He gave her another smile, and poof, he was gone again.
Pan was still oh so very confused, but she looked back at the door, and remembered all of what that strange old dog told her. How did he know her name? How did he know Doubt? How did he know Kaz? and her destiny? This was all so strange. She stared at the door, and tried to use her powers to unlock it. It was not working so well, and she was about to give up. But right be for she did, the lock unhitched and the door creaked open sullenly. Inside it was dark, not all dark, but the big lights were off. There was one straight hall, and on either side, kennels, like the one she was in. in each lied a dog or two, all there heads turned, to see who had opened the door. Most of there mouths fell open at the sight of her. She looked like an angel. her white fluffy wings, the lights of the outside hall illuminating her. She tilted her head, and stepped into the room.
Ste started at the first cage, and it just seemed to come naturally, these locks were not as complex as the ones on her cage, so these dogs must be less powerful. She unhitched all the cages, and the dogs all ran out. this time she did not pause, and she to ran out of there. They would get out. She would go back to find Doubt, and they would get out.
the heard of dogs she was with ran straight for a large window. Ones with sharp claws scratched at it, a few others tried to break it. Pan knew, somehow they would make it out, so she turned to go back to the place she was held, to look for Doubt. She jogged quickly down the narrow halls, and for some strange reason, there was no human in sight. She wasn't complaining, this was all the better. It just seemed strange to her. She made it back to the hall she was kept, but did not see Doubt here. She hoped he got out alright. She went to the door all the dogs Doubt had unleashed had gone, and followed there sent. She was almost out, but where was Doubt?
